On the morning of July 9, the unveiling ceremony of the first "innovation and entrepreneurship open laboratory" of University of science and technology of China was held in the conference room of College of Engineering Sciences. Shu Gequn, Secretary of the ucpc, unveiled the laboratory and delivered a speech. Fu Yao, deputy secretary of the ucpc, Zhou congzhao, assistant president and provost, relevant leaders of the school of Engineering Sciences and the school of innovation and entrepreneurship, representatives of the entrepreneurship and innovation tutors, students' Entrepreneurship and innovation project team, and students' fund management team attended the ceremony. The unveiling ceremony was presided over by Professor Zhang Shiwu, vice president of the College of Engineering Sciences。
Shu Gequn unveiled the "open laboratory for innovation and entrepreneurship" and delivered a speech. Shu Gequn said that general secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that the need for higher education and the need for scientific knowledge and talents is more urgent than ever. He encouraged teachers and students to be bold in innovation and practice, and become excellent talents with both technical foundation and innovation ability. Shu Gequn pointed out that the College of innovation and entrepreneurship and the College of Engineering Sciences jointly built the first "innovation and entrepreneurship open laboratory" of our university to provide a project practice platform for students with innovation and entrepreneurship interest, which is another pioneering and exemplary measure in the innovation and entrepreneurship education of our university. He hoped that all departments and departments of the university would take this as a reference and provide more and better conditions and services for the cultivation of innovative and entrepreneurial talents in our university in combination with the actual situation of all units.
Zhao Fei, a representative of the "innovation and entrepreneurship fund" project of the University of science and technology of China and a 2020 doctoral student of the school of Engineering Sciences, spoke on behalf of the student innovation and entrepreneurship project team. He said that in the process of carrying out innovation and entrepreneurship projects, he received enthusiastic guidance from teachers from innovation and entrepreneurship college, School Youth League Committee and other departments. The establishment of this open laboratory for innovation and entrepreneurship provides a better platform for all students to carry out mass entrepreneurship and innovation projects.
After the unveiling ceremony, the participating leaders, teachers and students visited the open laboratory for innovation and entrepreneurship, understood the use process and methods of the laboratory reservation system, listened to the introduction of the project team of our student innovation and Entrepreneurship Project "ground shaker - omnipotent warrior in the field of emergency rescue", and gave enthusiastic encouragement and cordial guidance to the students' enthusiasm for innovation and entrepreneurship.
The first "innovation and entrepreneurship open laboratory" of University of science and technology of China was jointly established by the College of innovation and entrepreneurship and the College of Engineering Sciences in accordance with the principle of "openness, sharing and serving teachers and students". The establishment of the laboratory was supported and guided by the Academic Affairs Office, undergraduate college, Youth League Committee, outreach office, Graduate School and other units. The innovation and entrepreneurship open laboratory will not only provide project practice conditions support for students with Entrepreneurship and innovation interest, but also provide relevant elective courses to provide professional practical teaching and technical support for entrepreneurship and innovation projects for students of our university. The College of innovation and entrepreneurship will cooperate with all departments and departments of the university to build more open laboratories, combine innovation and entrepreneurship education with professional practice teaching, and better serve the cultivation of innovative talents of our university.
